This is just another step in a spiral of constant escalation of the war, which doesn’t bode well for regional and global stability.

There was a missed opportunity for de-escalation after Russia retreated from Kiev, Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts. However Ukraine’s government (at the behest of its US handlers) decided to further provoke Russia with accusations of war crimes instead. This is a recurring occurrence in conflicts that the US wants to perpetuate.

Although there already was some toying with the idea of further balkanizing Ukraine, after the Bucha provocation public opinion in Russia has become extremely unfavorable to retreating from any gained territory, and now it seems the project of severing Novorossiya from Ukraine has entire official backing. But will it stop there? I doubt hostility between Russia and Ukraine/NATO will simmer down any time soon… In fact there is already talk of Poland sending a force into Ukraine, while the UK is increasing its footprint with more instructors.

Well if NATO’s goal is indeed to try and get Russian government into “Afghanistan 2.0” with the subsequent bankruptcy, then a further dragging of the war (and indeed it spreading elsewhere) is very much in their interest. Heck, I remember western media saying “MOLDOVA IS NEXT ON PUTIN’S PLAN OF GENOCIDE AND DOMINATION!!!111!” aroundearly March. They’ve been getting ready. Should this come to pass, the media and the politicians will point and scream “SEE?! WE TOLDYOUSO!”

It has become painfully clear what will happen to civilians in areas occupied by Russia if Russia refreats. This cannot be allowed. I believe Russia will not let go anymore of any territory it occupies from now on. Not until the Nazi regime in Kiev is toppled. The Russians have learned their lesson, they realized what they are dealing with.
