I think I heard about that incident but didn’t believe it (but I can also believe that a lot of SolidNet parties are kinda old in terms of leadership).

Frankly, KKE has a great history, but its present is dire. It’s incredibly transphobic as well. Like, there are times where it has also been anti-neurodiverse (which has more attention, but think about that for a moment: they literally have a problem with people that even back in the 1960s to 2000s decade would’ve been mentally ill or disabled, which really rubs me the wrong way).

Also, I don’t mean to compare LGBTQ+ community to mentally ill or neurodiverse people, and I don’t see mental illness and neurodiversity as at all the same thing, but if we take what they say regarding “disabled” (I use that term loosely) people, then I would say that their view on the entire matter is downright fascistic.

        (I hope I’m making myself clear. 😵‍💫)

Dunno. One’s that are as prominent or have that same symbolic power as the KKE? Definitely not. They’re kinda at the top of the pyramid for a reason, but the fact that it holds a lot of sway may be the problem at the end of the day.

I’m sure there’s another somewhere in the country, but eh, it’s probably either too small or a Maoist organization (there are plenty in Greece, I think).

Actually, KKE is pretty pro-Stalin and pro-Mao (I mean, they have no problem invoking the “Five Heads” imagery from what I’ve seen, though that may not necessarily be their leadership).

KKE has been called “left deviationist” or ultra-left, but a lot of their opinions and viewpoints are also rather reactionary (I guess the word in this case is right deviationist).

To be honest, not to “horse-shoe theory” the topic of Maoism, but a lot of Maoists are like that (very toxic, from what people tell me, and basically think that because they slash car tires or carry guns that they’re free from being reactionary or having reactionary thought; hence, why you still get accusations of transphobia, toxicity, and looking down of “disabled” people)
