I hope there is not a lot of self hating Chinese, because that is so fucking stupid. Even Chinese American have more brain cells than that. Chinese American actually despite living in America, have a positive view about China.

They call themselves liberals and ‘public intellectuals’ (公知)and are like a fifth column sponsored by Murikkkan democrats. They have had a large existence in Chinese universities in recent years.

Some of the stupidest things they have said include such gems as:

“Japan, India and South Korea became vibrant and rich nations under democracy, we should strive for the same freedom”

“We need to denuclearise and disarm ourselves to win the favour of the American government”

They literally want to hand over all the fruits of victory from multiple generations of sacrifice to the fucking west just so they can lick the boots of westoids. They are beyond disgusting…

I heard that they’ve become kind of a joke on the Chinese internet, though? And that everyday, normal people talk about “public intellectuals” the way westerners talk about “blue check-mark opinions.”

Yep, there was a huge influx of this liberal brainrot before the mid 2010s but nowadays they’re mostly a laughing stock and they get logically smashed by most people lmao.

Remember that “liberal hero” who made those fake videos of him infiltrating near the supposed “concentration camps”? He went to NYC and now spends his days working at small restaurants. He also had his jacket/pants stolen recently and even resorted to picking some food out of bins to stave off hunger. Must be a hell of a rude wakeup call.

Reminds me of that one plotline from In the Name of the People – how the mayor of Handong flees to the US after getting busted by anti-corruption, and then instead of being wined and dined has to work backbreaking hours washing dishes at his uncle’s Chinese restaurant.

If they were, they wouldn’t be calling themselves intellectuals every time they meet someone lmao

The CPC is strong ideologically and it’s not like any of them have a position in the governance of China aside from the very local levels.

That said? It is true that I’ve seen some Chinese liberals (but most Chinese are communist or do really like the CPC).
