Forge is best played against the AI from what I gather, but the system really enforces rules so it teaches you to play correctly, I assume. I’m a total magic newb, mostly played around with green decks, sometimes black, sometimes red/green. I love the early expansions like Ice Age and Arabian Nights

I think most MTG players use it to do online play. There’s also cockatrice and forge, I’ve fooled around a bit with forge to learn the basics of the game.
