  • I mostly agree with the list, but it’s kinda… idk, lacking. In a dating context, you’re looking to let someone new into your life, right? So you need to have room for them. If you already have a million other things to deal with and you’re already at your emotional capacity, you can’t be emotionally available. So that’s really step one, imo. From there it’s really just about maintaining that emotional bond and honoring it. Being open to being vulnerable with each other. Yeah, I’d say that’s accurate.

Btw, just a piece of advice if you’re open to it, you should ask the people you’re talking to this question if you haven’t already! If they’ve stated that emotional availability is important to them anyway, might be too random otherwise lol

  • When looking at the whole picture, violence/assault statistics are actually misandrist. Funny how that’s never relevant though. I wonder if it was men being denied transport, would they be saying it’s “a bit misandrist” or would everyone be absolutely losing their shit? (Not that they shouldn’t in that scenario, it would be misandrist, statistics do not actually justify anything here). This is just so blatantly racist. Australia was a mistake.

  • Would it explain quotes like this?

“From the beginning, nothing has been more alien, repugnant, and hostile to woman than truth—her great art is the lie, her highest concern is mere appearance and beauty.”

Because unless he starts of by saying “Here’s an example of some really stupid shit that the average misogynist might say” I’m not interested.

  • Okay so IF I was trying my very hardest to interpret the quote in the most agreeable way possible I could MAYBE convince myself that “the higher breeding of humanity” actually refers to a spiritual/cultural evolution and that the “remorseless extermination of all degenerate and parasitic elements” is just an edgy way to say eat the rich or something.

But like… come on. That’s such a ridiculously generous interpretation. Am I wrong?
