    I haven’t listened to that one in its entirety, but the last season of the Revolutions Podcast dedicates literally a 100 episodes (each from 30 to 60 minutes) to unravel the Russian Revolution, giving historical context going from both the origins of Marxism and the formation of the Russian Empire up to that point. He is not a Marxist himself and up until the 1848 series he still has some lib moments, but he is also usually very thorough on presenting history, has spent some 3 years on the Russian one, and is very quick to differentiate between the historical consensus and discredited fabrications. For example, he spends like 10 episodes just unpacking the events of the 1905 Revolution. Might be a good place to start and doesn’t require much previous knowledge or listening to the previous ones as he usually recapitulates important stuff.
