Hi everyone. In this video I try to explain why marx uses a style unfit for a work of science, full of biblical analogies and references, although he considers himself to be a scientific socialist and Capital to be a scientific work. In view of this, many commentators have argued Marx was not a good author and Capital is simply a badly written work. Paul Wollf, against this, contends that the apparently bad and unscientific style of Capital is actually a tactical method Marx uses for a specific purpose. Marx intends to show his audience that for all its clarity and rationality, capitalism is a deeply mystifying system and economics is a deeply mystified field. The “badness” of his literary style and his acceptance of the concepts of political economy in Capital should therefore be understood in the context of the project of demystification Marx sets himself.

Gonna watch this tomorrow. Probably going to get some shut-eye early where I am. Still, I liked the last video you had.
