I’ve been compiling a shitlist on RBG, here’s what I got so far.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Much credit to David Kinder’s current affairs article, the rise of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg cult.

Native peoples, immigrants, and treatment of minorities.

What do liberals like about her though?

I ask this not because I expect her to have some redeeming qualities but out of general curiosity. I saw the reddit front page pic of Americans gathered for a vigil in her memory (pandemic is still pretty bad) which was kinda nauseating. It got me thinking about what kind of cringe liberalism we will have to deal with when Hillary Clinton dies.

the vast majority of americans are completely depoliticized outside of what is fed to them by the establishment itself. people are desperate for any kind of political figurehead that isn’t a complete and utter shitbag; one who is “fighting the good fight.” they aren’t equipped with the ability to find and support actually non-shitbag figureheads - which the liberal machine takes advantage of. it presents the people shitbags as if they weren’t shitbags by contrasting them with even bigger shitbags.

people are desperate to fight against the current tide of Trumpism and so rabidly and blindly support the “good guys” that have been served to them.

the same way a saturday morning cartoon hero is the hero because he’s put on screen opposite the villain. it’s simplistic children’s theater and nothing more. if you ever question why liberals do anything seemingly insane remember that they simply do not exist in reality but rather the drama that has been created for them.

i feel this is poorly and lengthily written but i hope you understand what i’m trying to say

I’m not exactly sure what spurred the authors of that notorious RBG book to write it in the first place… had to be some decision that she wrote i’m guessing. Or maybe it was in the runnup to the 2016 US election to build support for Hillary.

Her one redeeming thing is that she’s pro abortion, although her reasons for that seem pretty wewy ( see pic below ), its still objectively a good thing in a country filled with Christian zealots.

That’s actually pretty yikes. Usually I don’t think much of pro-choice stance because in first world countries, it’s not a revolutionary viewpoint today even in a reactionary country like the USA. But this reads pretty badly. Sounds like it’s completely devoid of feminism though it’s also just an excerpt.

Also she gets portrayed as a cbampion of feminism. This is from a AP news article:

“She was my teacher in so many ways,” said Gloria Steinem, the nation’s most visible feminist leader, in an interview.

Steinem has ties with CIA. Seems like every mainstream public facing social justice champion these days is a scam artist.

Name one contemporary “feminist leader” who isn’t a spook or a scam - you can’t.

Oh man this thought didn’t need to be in my mind and now it is. Thanks for that :|
