Thatcher might be dead but her legacy’s as strong as ever. The kids she fucked over in the 80’s now have thier own kids, and those kids are now adults having their own kids, and everything’s just gotten worse as leader after leader follows her example, decreasing public spending and increasing policing. The government keep just enough concessions, like the NHS and minimum wage increases, around that people don’t riot in the streets, but there are now multiple adult generations whose quality of life has only gone down, and whose parent’s quality of life only ever went down, leaving everyone completely hopeless about the future.

Seems like a lot of people are depressed, not surprising at all. It is interesting to see the so-called “happiest country on earth” being in orange, its darker than Russia!
