I thought the Ukr Forces were the storm troopers? That’s what all their merch was depicting last I checked.

The liberals like the asthetics of revolution without actually having a revolution.

They should have to do it both ways if they’re gonna do this gross shit, they should have to describe the last doomed offensive with conscripts dying in retreat as “an epic fiery version of the empire strikes back”.

It’s the result of their only media literacy being Disney movies and Harry Potter.

They blew up some bombers so I guess that is the equivalent to destroying the second Death Star, and the emperor himself, leading to the (slow or fast depending on your source) fracturing of the empire.

So yeah. I think it’s a pretty forced comparison. Maybe if Putin had been killed? Then again Zelensky and western media have more at stake on this than a simple star wars fan does so they never called to ask me.

Worldview formed by childish bullshit and a weird hint of nostalgia in your politics.

Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns it’s lonely eyes to you

George Lucas is way more based than most of these liberals that claim to like Star Wars.

He admitted that the Rebel Alliance vs the Empire is an allegory of the Viet Cong vs the U.S. military, and that he himself is a communist sympathizer.

I’m sure that piece of trivia somehow doesn’t make the rounds on star wars trivia night.

not-listening is the reaction I would expect from telling people about that fact

He also mentioned there is much more censorship in American movies vs in soviet cinema and I assume he would know.

          I remember reading that too.

He said that he was surprised at the relative lack of regulations in Soviet cinema, especially in regards to violence.

The only thing you couldn’t do, was advocate for the overthrow of socialism

they are loyal subjects of the empire trying to pass their shooting failing class to become stormtroopers, but they see themselves as the rebels, thinking that the dark side of force is the good side, asking why people hate lord vader so much if he’s the police of the universe
