I agree. Iran simply doesn’t care much for the Western World, however, I don’t think that Iran would intentionally bomb an oil production facility. That’s literally madness, and the Iranian government isn’t as insane as people like The Drumpf make them out to be.

I don’t think there would be any way that some type of military vessel patrolling the most vital and busiest water way in the world would of NOT picked up a drone flying over the Strait of Hormuz from Iran’s direction. And the claim that it came from Yemen is laughable at best.

The series of supposed aggression by Iran that has gone on in recent months has seemed convenient for sure. Just so happened to come on the heels of the failed coup in Venezula and as talk with NK have “progressed” (lots of stops and starts of course). Bolton and Pompeo both seem to be chomping at the bit to start something with Iran.

In so far as this particular case, I’d say there’s a possibility. There’s always a possibility that the US is somehow involved considering most wars its been involved in have start with lies (ie: WMDs in Iraq, Gulf of Tonkin, etc). Wouldn’t be terribly surprised if the US were playing both sides here just because its another thing that its done in the past.

This also happened to coincide with an upcoming bill in Congress that would pull the US out of the conflict.

Yep, we’ll have to see after things settle, but it could easily be a gulf of tonkin type thing.

Don’t forget about the chances that Isn’treal was behind the attack. Bolton was all about war with Iran in defense of Isn’treal and their “democracy.” Trump is, arguably ““anti-war,”” and since Bolton was fired; There went Israel’s chance’s at getting the US involved in another needless war. So what happens a couple days after his firing? The US’s Second ““Greatest Ally,”” The totally not oppressive, Peaceful Kingdom of Islamic Extremism of Saudi Arabia, gets attacked and the attack is blamed on Yemen, which in turn is backed by Iran; so therefor it was totally Iran.

I mean the Huthis said they did it, they have drones… So I guess this is more likely.

I think the issue is that while so hawks will try to use this to get their war with iran, I dont think it makes sense. They have enough other reasons in the past few months if they wanted one.

On the flip side this really shows what Iran and its allies (Hisbola, Huthis, etc.) are capable of if attacked. To assume that any oilwell in the gulf region would still work after iran retaliates, that US embassies would survive, that the US army camps in the area wouldnt be attacked is fictitious. Saudi Arabia is a fucking unstable country. If something massive happens there, there kingdom could quite easily fall. Israel is also extremely vulnerable…

Petro dollar would be gone, the world economy in a massive recession. Uprisings and riots throughout asia. Possibly the fall of the US empire… There are reasons why the US has Iran on #1 ever since the revolution, but instead the two neighboring countries were attacked (which both didnt have a functioning airforce).

The real question is: why is the US getting involved?

Did a Texas petrol field get bombed? NO! It was a foreign country halfway across the world.

Let the dictatorships fight it out amoungst themselves.
