Finns have way better metal music and therefore Swedes fell into inferiority complex? At least that’s the only thing other than alcohol memes i can think of.

Hopefully it can be salvaged by giving Finland a good communist or democratic alt history path, then it might actually live up to the name of the dlc.

I didn’t get that impression from the trailer, it looks like its mostly about Norway’s resistance against the German invasion, and knowing history that would make the most sense for it to be about. Of course I could be wrong but paradox isn’t that anti-communist to theme the majority of their DLC around Finland.

The name already makes it extremely suspicious.

Also the trailer was about the Finns fighting the Soviets. The shot of the tank treads were from a T-34, as German designs used interlocking roadwheel designs, and the roadwheels were to big to be part of a Pz38t/Marder which used non-interlocking wheels. There were also Molotov cocktails around the tank (the broken bottles in the beginning).

Finland stockpiled and hid tens of thousands of guns around the country in secret stockpiles in order to use against the Soviet Union after the Continuation War was lost. That’s what the shot of the buried gun case was about.

Didn’t know that, about the buried gun case. I was going off the poster image for the DLC, which is split 50/50 between skiing infantry and mountaineers in the Norwegian fjords. It could go either way honestly, depending on how the effort is split. But seeing as this isn’t a full fledged DLC but one of their “country packs” the content is going to be minimal anyway, any political signaling is probably going to be muted regardless.

Also on the note of artwork in trailers, Paradox’s art team isn’t that knowledgeable about fine details, there was this hilarious mistake they made when they did the trailer for the Turkish dlc pack where they showed Turkish naval officers with beards, despite beards being strictly forbidden in their navy not only back then but even now, prompting them to apologize after the shitstorm of angry Turkish backlash, lol.
