It’s the most racist place in America or something like that

Arkansas is a shithole. So is Missouri. Though I believe that nabbing the lead for “most racist place in Ameri[k]a” would be a pretty competitive race.

Oregon was basically founded to be a white ethno-state, after all. Sun-down towns still exist all over the country, even if they’re not legally supposed to. Where are the most black prisoners held? Where are the most black people murdered by police? Etc. etc. It’s a racist ass country, and I hate to say it but I’d wager the safest places for black people are predominantly black (and then instead of random racist settlers fucking you over, it’s systematic racist policies that will strip you of your alleged rights to vote, own land, and having any chance of escaping poverty. You bet there are plenty of white cops itching for violence in those areas, still, too.)

I do not know what I can do about it other than try to support the black people closest to me. As whiteness affords less and less privilege, wealth becomes more and more concentrated, and imperialism turns inward (as in, beyond the imperial subjugation of Black, Native and Hispanic groups and towards the last ethnic group that the U.S. has not yet systematically r*ped, hwites), it becomes increasingly difficult to support anyone but myself. The advantages of whiteness certainly still exist, but you get poor enough and that shit starts fading.

Still less likely to be shot by police or accused of a crime I didn’t commit, more likely to get a job, etc. All I can think of is how fucked it is for black Amerikans if it’s even more fucked up than this. My solidarity goes out to the descendants of the peoples who were brave and heroic enough to liberate themselves from chattel slavery and to the Afrikan immigrants who are considered similarly dismally. Fuck Arkansas, fuck Missouri, and fuck the settler U.S. project in its totality. It’s time to fight for an end to the “two Amerikas” - white and non-white - and for the beginning of a plurinational multi-ethnic state where diversity is embraced and sovereignty is respected (violently respected, if need be).
