    They insulted the fans

I think it’s really pathetic if someone is insulted, in 2024 especially, by a dc-marvel slop movie turning out to be shit. Don’t be so emotionally attached to these shit movie mills.

I liked the first movie too it’s just that I don’t feel insulted personally that the sequel is shit. That’s all I was saying.

Yea it’s disappointment but I just pretend it doesn’t exist, that’s all it takes.

Lady Gaga is a good actor! I saw a clip from some other movie she was in and it was pretty good. It was funny to me that that movie apparently got all sorts of awards and it was filmed in the French method lol, which is the opposite of the typical Hollywood violence spectacle.

I thought her and Bradley Cooper were both fantastic in the “A Star is Born” remake from a few years back

I predicted the movie was gonna be trash from the moment I saw the trailer. The first one was half decent, can’t expect anything actually revolutionary coming out of Hollywood but even without that, it was a complete story that didn’t need continuity, but these dumbasses can’t help themselves in creating nothing but remakes and sequels cause they have no creativity whatsoever.

They have creativity, there’s hundreds of starving screenwriters and directors hanging around LA right now that would love to get a shot at making their movie (now whether they have the skills to actually make a full movie is a different thing). Hollywood keeps rehashing remakes and sequels because it’s safe and makes a ton of money.

I knew it’s done for as soon as they said it’s going to be a musical, first one was masterpiece for a comic book movie, it actually had good social analysis in terms of showing what unfortunately happens to some people irl who have certain mental issues and are sometimes pushed to far. We literally didn’t get a great DC movie since The Dark Knight, they finally do it and then blow it up immediately by deciding to make the sequel. Should have been one and done.

Even narratively speaking there just wasn’t anything else left to tell. It was a good standalone movie but capitalism ruins everything. Probably just best to pretend it doesn’t exist lmao.

Ironically, these same unironic “Joker posters” are probably the reason most people didn’t bother seeing the movie, assuming it was just edgy nonsense, like the weird fanbase that missed the point of the first movie.

I heard the it literally shat on the first one all the time, this is the first time I’m seeing reactionaries talk about it. It shouldn’t have had a sequel in the first place but out of all the reasons to complain, someone does this.

  • I honestly think that they had nothing else to do with the character, the moment the fanbase of the first movie got too toxic, they decided to bury this incarnation of the Joker. So what to do with a non-canon Joker?

A shitty cashgrab movie, of course.
