I genuinely thought this was an Onion headline. I don’t understand how any registered Democrat could see this and ever take the party’s messaging seriously again. I’m not even sure if this is just Biden being Biden and not giving a shit how badly he fucks over the Harris campaign, or if the Dems genuinely think it’s good to have their sitting president wear a symbol they’ve spent 8 years claiming is more evil than Voldemort’s dark mark.

Obviously 4D Chess. Biden endorsing Trump is probably the fastest way to guarantee Harris wins the election.

I am not going to lie, I assumed the Biden wearing the hat was a doctored image, because surely nobody would be that dumb.

Isn’t the Trump hat more evil than the dark mark?

I’m not a Harry Potter fan and I hesitate to compare real-life to fiction, but regardless.

I do view MAGA hats as equivalent to Nazi paraphernalia. Don’t get me wrong, both democrats and republicans are neoliberal far-reich douchebags, but the amount of hatred I have for MAGA-lickers is special. They throw my people into concentration camps on the southern Amerikkkan border.

What comes to mind for me:

“It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.” - George Carlin

AKA, my impression is: A guy like Biden is willing to do this because on some level, he knows the differences between him and Trump aren’t actually that big, and that the divide between the two ruling parties is more performance art than visceral disagreement. And he’s not supposed to let this show so blatantly, but he’s slipping in his aging state of mind.

The libs will just take this as another sign that he’s too senile for another term, the Trump supporters will eat this shit up and meme the absolute hell out of this, meanwhile the rest of us will continue to just beg someone in a position of power to stop committing genocide, which will promptly be filed into the void. I really hate this timeline.
