Worst part is that every time I see anything related to IOF colonizers in Jenin, I remember that there’s a documentary that is now 20+ years old showing this exact same shit. Leveling blocks, taking pictures on the rubble, pushing the occupants rightful residents into tent cities somewhere without any infrastructure, etc. It’s called Jenin, Jenin if you want to watch it.

    Edit: more thoughtful wording.

  • According to the description of the original subreddit this aims to replace: “A subreddit for people interested in looking beyond cartoonish western propaganda, and learning about the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (“DPRK”).” If I’m reading this correctly, I interpret it as sharing news and other stories that show that the DPRK is just another country full of real people and not some crazy alien planet full of weirdos. Probably a better way to phrase that is that it’s a community for debunking western lies about the DPRK and showing everyday stories about the people therein.

Edit: forgive me my phrasing while I continue to decolonize my brain.

  • As someone who has a radio license and had (admittedly too long ago) done a lot of studying to get it, I always assumed this would be the result. RF is non ionizing, so it should have no effect on DNA. That said, RF in high enough power levels can still cause stuff like burns or boil your insides (it’s how microwaves work, by exciting the water molecules using RF) so don’t be grabbing random transmission antennas.

I took a job in early 2023 which forced me to go from full couch potato to 10-15k steps each day. In less than a year I went from needing an inhaler if I got off the couch wrong to being able to take entire Costco runs up a flight of stairs in one or two heavy trips without needing anything more than a few deep breaths and remembering to breathe while walking. My BP dropped from pre hypertension into the average again AND my resting heart rate lowered from average high 80 BPM down to around 60 BPM average.

All of that to say, keep it up comrade! Every KM helps you get healthier and it takes a lot of time and repetition to make a difference.

NGL, if it were my style of game I’d probably grab it. I watched the first 10 minutes of cinematic/gameplay and it looks pretty awesome but it also looks like I’d just rage at it if I tried to play it.

I can attest that I’ve committed plenty of minor crimes (mostly moving violations like speeding) but the lack of melanin in my skin meant that instead of leaving in cuffs, or even a very expensive ticket, I was able to suck up a bit and got let off with a warning almost every time. I can guarantee at least a handful of those times would have ended differently if my skin wasn’t super white.
