Lord Huntington Wonsy the 3rd wishes to let you know that he’s down with the dankest of memes, and to not let those SJW riffraff win at the battle of cultureloo; let not the difference in station bring enmity thus, instead, look to those who would take yon heaving bosoms from one’s computer games.

Then follow your own example, porky. Call off your class war against the workers. Problem solved.

Very sus how the same people telling me we’re not compatible with coexisting with different races, sexualities, religions, etc. But then when we turn to class it’s all “well shucks, why we gotta fight?”

But Labour would also have the most educated top team in history, with nearly half of its ministers, 15 of 31, having gained at least one postgraduate degree and all but two having undergraduate degrees, according to analysis by Times Higher Education. Two of them, Anneliese Dodds and Peter Kyle, hold PhDs. In contrast, only six of Sunak’s cabinet have postgraduate qualifications, which suggests that class is now no barrier to academic achievement.

How the - how the fuck -

Yes i am going to look at this incredibly small cohort of Very Special Pampered Boys Who Didn’t Go To School Yet Rose To High Places and my conclusion, orthogonal to every other fucking thing that is going on, is that class is not a barrier to academic achievement. This is one of those Not Even Wrong things. Like clearly the conclusion here is that in order for a working-class person to rise high they need to be genuinely remarkable, while the dumbest fucking oaf born to a peerage will leisurely stroll into a position at the top of society.

But it’s important that Labour doesn’t replace the Tories’ distracting culture wars of the past few years with class warfare. For a start, their core vote is changing: the latest YouGov tracker poll has a higher percentage of ABC1 professional middle-class voters backing Labour than C2DE working class.

Unfortunately for us this columnist has already gotten her wish.

Totally and fully unrelated to the dipshittery this person is surely writing:

As an American, on July 5th, I feel some deep primal revulsion that we are allowing a fake (aka non-US) “The Times” to squat on our beautiful thetimes.com which should be reserved for our own beautiful reactionary newspaper. Perhaps The New York Times.

I propose we really stick a finger in British eyes and yoink that domain. End the national embarrassment.

Alright, patriot mode disengaged. Back to regularly scheduled commie posting.

The “culture war” has always been a thorn in my side my entire life. When the fuck hasn’t it been shorthand for repulsive beliefs and values? Why the fuck is there “two sides” to questions like should brown people be treated like people? Women be treated with dignity? Non-cishet people treated as legitimate? All questions that can and are ignored or subsumed by class? The head of the Tories isn’t exactly some white as fuck descendant of a knight who fought at Hastings, for fucks sake.

God damn I hate the Bri’ish press

Exactly, they managed to create debate over things that should not be questioned in the first place.

I used to post archived stuff, but then some people have plugins that don’t work with those and they complained. I try to post both usually, but sometimes forget.
