I’m referring to this post here (please don’t click the shortened URL link within that post; the actual reading list is, well, fine, but such a shortened link has, well, undesirable repercussions).

I realize that I made an error. Granted, I felt that the replies were really, err, shit-posty (and to be fair: the ML community on the Internet has a history of lots of shit-posting, memes, non-serious posts, blah, blah, blah). But… I was wrong. And I was wrong to get defensive about it.

Not sure what else to say, but I’ll probably delete the post soon; I’m just leaving it there as an example of what I did wrong and what I’m referring to.
