Incredible anyone has the gall to hijack history like this. Demonizing the victim of brutal colonialist crimes and warmongering and equating them, China, to self imposed(lack of regulation) social, ideological and cultural decay.

I didn’t really understand the scope of the horrific consequences imperialist drug-dealers perpetrated against China til I read Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang. Japanese occupation forces would flood the streets with it, with innumerable reports of very young children being addicted to heroin cigarettes under occupation. The flippant way racist liberals abuse historical atrocities, that their people had a heavy hand in committing, to fuel xenophobic fear is utterly disgusting.

Absolutely. Trying to equate tiktok to opium is so horrible. It’s complete projection and a reversal of historical fact. It’s crazy that this is only one example of hundreds of similar equations; all based on projection of western atrocities. I’ve noticed this general trend that the west’s rhetoric around China is based on trying to paint China and the CPC to a colonial power, and westerners making themselves as the victims of this neo-colonial power when nothing could be further from the truth; when the west has yet to answer to most of their barbaric pillaging across the globe and throughout modern history.
