Everyday, Capitalism finds a way to ruin my living moments. How can I read articles without having to register for some dumb trial thing? I tried reader view, but I guess it only shows the teaser of the article :/.

Another great solution is to use this extension:
https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-firefox-clean
https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean
Works on Firefox for android with some hacks but on Chrome isn’t even on the store.
I second Bypass Paywalls Clean. Works great on most news sites I want to look at.
Lovely! The 12ft works quite well, thanks!
Ugh, I finally was able to read the article and it was so ungodly mediocre.
Surprise! 😃

Nothing will be funnier than “Democracy dies in darkness” at the top and a subscription paywall to read the article
is it an academic article? If so,there is the good old sci hub
Scihub and libgen are pretty great, though they don’t always have newer/ sorta niche papers 😢. Thanks nonetheless. I was looking for more WSJ-esque publications.
I was trying to read the article they had about Chinese State Capitalism, and to my dismay, disgust even, I was met with the task of having to sign up for a stupid subscription.
I make emails at mail.com and its a super easy way to make a throwaway email account, just put the login info in a notes app in case they need you to verify it for later use
Some websites need JavaScript for paywall, such as the New York Times. If you load an article and wait the paywall appear and then disable JavaScript (make sure to reload the page), you will be able to read it without a paywall.
EDIT: If you use the Ublock Origin addon you can disable javascript using it.
Use Brave Browser , can also use IPFS with brave and tor proxy is built in.
If you only need an email address and don’t need to provide payment details etc, try mailinator.com. You can use any @mailinator.com address, and anyone can view any @mailinator.com address inbox via the website.
Some websites blacklist the mailinator.com domain but mailinator has a steady stream of alternate domain names you can use on their home page.
