When I was just becoming a lefty, my first major disappointment with Sanders was hearing that military jets were being made in his state because it was a “jobs program”. I was upset that he didn’t think of what those planes do, that the planes are inevitably going around the world on bombing campaigns that he will either support openly or repudiate, it makes no difference which he does. I appreciate the affect that his campaign had on American voters and labor organizing and even the fact that he pulled so many would be SocDems into left territory(HE IS A SOCDEM, don’t get me wrong). By that I mean that people like Second Thought, friends and family, even me, we’re asking “well if he’s not a socialist, then who is?” That question and good information can change someone’s entire perspective on life and labor. That being said, his complacency with Imperialism is a huge roadblock that is keeping a large swath of SocDems in SocDem territory.

Are there any redeemable members of the US government left at this point?
