I actually agree with you in this isolated scenario. The hivemind in that sub is rather insane lol. You won’t get banned for disagreeing, but you will certainly get downvoted to hell. I’m speak from experience hereMy issue lies more with the fact that the level of “punishment” for restricting free speech is not equal

Well there’s a lot of currently existing restrictions on what you can and can’t publish in media in China. The ministry of culture has restrictions on things that “disrupt the social order” and “threatening national unity”. Yes, right wing subreddits occasionally have what I would consider stances that are accidentally anti-imperialist (broken clock and all that), but I consider those stances accidental because their reasoning hinges on often horrifically stupid and bigoted beliefs.
Either way, it’s just evidence that Fascism with American characteristics is coming back home now that the empire is in decline. It starts with censorship and blacklisting, and it only escalates from there. Expect some neo-McCarthyism down the road.

You have to log into reddit on a desktop version of the site and then resubscribe. Might have to verify email, but I think you can just delete your email after the fact. That may not have always been a necessary requirement before though so idkEdit: Verifying e-mail wasn’t a thing last time I remember doing this. You used to be able to go on old . Reddit . Com , log in on your acct, and then just hit continue. For people with apple products you could probably use log in with apple and then give them the bunk email option that doesn’t actually include your email, for those that don’t have apple products I’d recommend creating a burner reddit acct and a burner email
