The greatest effect of being Quarantined is that such subs cannot be accessed via Reddit’s mobile app. That hard locks out a significant, if not majority, portion of Reddit’s total userbase, including most people who frequent said subs.

Official App, no problem accessing the sub. Some posts even show up on the home page. (With warnings of course)

RIF has an option to opt-in into a quarantined subreddit. The app is simply well made compared to others.

The non-official ones should work fine for accessing quarantined subreddits.
