According to this database China sent in 2005 five wz 551 apc. I mean we can be critical of this, but that doesn’t sound like the type of arm shipment to crush a people’s war. I don’t think the BBC is even right here then either https://www.sipri.org/databases/armstransfers

Also in the same vein people seem to think China sent this huge arm shipment to Dueteres regime in the Philippines but this database doesn’t even count it. If this database isn’t reliable I’m open to hear that, but from I understand right now China had sent a small diplomatic arms shipment after a terrorist attack.

Also following the data I’m surprised there aren’t more criticisms like China is sending arms to Saudi Arabia or anything. China i think is already or on its way to being the second largest arms industry, so this is definitely one of the areas China can be criticized

Thanks for reminding me of China’s arms sales to Saudia Arabia and others. I used to be a big China supporter and used to dismiss these things as ‘necessities’ or one-off things. I’ll need to look into it again.

I feel it is an incredibly important topic to determine, definitively, whether China is socialist or capitalist(-imperialist). Is there any book that deals with this issue in detail?
