Why is Prince Andrew being made to eat shit now rather than at any point in the last decade? His connections to Epstein and complicity in the abuse have been well known for a while. For the arrest they cite “leaking confidential information” which could be based on new information but he had bismirched the good name of the Royal Family (may God save them) a long time ago. So they could have at least stripped him of his royal titles.
AFAIK he already has been stripped of royal titles which is why the UK media apparently just refers to him as “Andrew”? In any case he and all the others facing consequences are scapegoats and mostly non-Americans. The powers that be seem content to let guys like him sizzle in the pan to create the impression of justice being served. This is all speculation on my part though. How funny would it be if the US just exported all of the consequences for all this to other oligarchs in the bloc and that’s what actually causes a permanent fracture in alliances lol
