I read a Murakami novel while on holiday and even though I sort of like his story telling the guy cannot write female characters if his life depended on it. In this one the main character goes out on a few dates with a woman and she manages to always eat a DESSERT while staying THIN y’all. Fuck me what a woman that must be. She EATS and REMAINS CONFORMING TO THE PATRIARCHAL BEAUTY STANDARD OF THE TIME!!! Also, she chose the boring, passive main character and orgasms every single time they make love! What a catch!
