So, comrades, I learned that, apparently, lemmygrad is blocked from other pretty popular but liberal (liberals block others, lol) instances and I don’t quite understand how that works.

I can’t see posts that were made from other instances? I’m using Jerboa and have an account on lemmygrad and I can see posts from lemmy.ml, but, I guess, I can’t view even non-political posts like memes from instances that blocked lemmygrad?

    Yes, beehaw and sopuli both have lemmygrad blocked, thus you can see their content but they cannot see ours. We can also see are their user’s comments on places we both federate to (for example lemmy), but because they block us they won’t see our comments.

    So having a lemmy.ml account can be a blessing, because it won’t be you just seeing them. They will also see you.

      I thought they would get notifications about our posts in neutral instances. :(

      Thank you for the response! Pretty new to this platform, but I’ll get there. I created lemmy.world account to see global content, but I will be more active here for sure.
