One last question: do you have ADHD or think you do?
Right off the bat:
Get noise-cancelling headphones to help you read.
Listen to classical music or lo-fi music on YouTube or Spotify.
And take frequent breaks from reading and only read in bouts (so a minute or two doing nothing or briefly doing something else and then resume reading).
Also, go to your Settings and adjust ClearType.
Windows 11 can also adjust that you see on your screen (I use Lucida Sans as that’s good for reading but Times New Roman is also good).
Also: get a dark mode app if you’re reading online or an app that gives a sandy color to the background for people with dyslexia (it’s useful for people without dyslexia too, I think).
Also: the more you read, the more you acclimate to reading. Eventually, you’ll begin to want it.
I thought it was a difficult read
It was!
I don’t blame you.
First time?
First time reading Lenin
Ah, you’re a beginner Marxist-Leninist, I take it?
Have you read previous theory?
I have read On Authority and The Communist Manifesto
Two so far? Nice! When did you start?
Want any further recs or maybe tips on how to improve reading?
I don’t remember
Yes please
