Legality has nothing to do with morality. It doesn’t matter if you commit a crime for a “good cause”, in the eyes of the law and legal process you are still guilty of said crime. Yes, morality can influence public perception, sentencing, and punishment, but you will still be found guilty.

True, but I assume that you would have the self control to not take the time to write out and then post the worst of those thoughts for the world to see. A lot of people have intrusive, annoying, or racing thoughts, but very few are deranged or stupid enough to actually write them out and associate themselves with them.
