Yep, he admitted to using prostitutes many times. https://www.vice.com/en/article/88nwwb/hasan-piker-brothel-sex-work-twitch

edit: Worth pointing out that the primary struggle / contradiction in the prostitution contract is not, as anarchists and liberals claim, between “society” or “cops” and the people involved in the sex trade, but between the sex buyer, and the person they’re paying to rape. The battleground is the body of the exploited: the buyer wants to spend as little money as possible, to have as much ownership / sexual domination over the body of their victim as possible, while the victim is fighting to preserve their bodily autonomy, and hoping to come out the other side of the rape unharmed. If even a fraction of the act isn’t consensual, or is coerced by money or other factors, then it is by definition rape.

Not only that, but the brothel he used was raided by the police so the conditions and trafficking must have been horrendous for that to happen.

I understand and respect this reasoning and becoming an ML definitely made me be less quiet about my already existing opinion that prostitution is a tragedy and refuse to let liberals wokescold me for being a “swerf” or whatever.

However…when this headline read “rapist,” it conjured a very, very different image in my head than “one who has hired prostitutes.” The two are seldom morally comparable. Similar to how while work under capitalism may be reasoned to be slavery, we don’t compare mom 'n pop store petite bourgeoisie to Jeff Bezos or to slave traders.

I don’t watch Hasan and have never been particularly interested to, he seems like a dunce in many ways to me, but additionally I will also say the guy is a great entrance into the ML radicalization funnel. He has always been further to the left than other mainstream “leftist” personalities and doesn’t push the same insane, damaging anticommunist “tankie” or otherwise anti-AES brainrot (at least as far as I’ve seen). I’ve had several IRL times where I was selling China or truth of the Ukraine war to “leftists,” and a solid 3 times that it actually worked (out of, like, 4 or 5), the person in question was a big Hasan fan. I would much rather him be the #1 political streamer on Twitch than any of these other ghouls, I think he softens up people who might be destined for anticommunism to our tendency.

No disrespect intended comrade, just disagreement.

Sex buyers are by definition rapists, read the above paragraph. You cannot purchase sexual consent, which makes sex-buying nothing more than rape ( which is any sexual act where consent is coerced / forced ).

As far as his politics, politics is not just what you say, but what you do. He’s in no orgs (except maybe DSA?), does nothing but game / stream all day, makes 40k / month on patreon and selling merch, and lives in a beverly hills mansion. His outward politics for years has just been your standard imperialist socdem bernie bro.

The two are seldom morally comparable

That might be true from the buyer’s standpoint (they’re doing it while believing, or deluding themselves into believing, that the seller is doing it consensually, so they don’t perceive their actions to be equivalent to the common liberal definition of rape), but I don’t think it’s true from the prostitute’s standpoint in the vast majority of cases
