Here the favourable views from a poll of 137 countries conducted by the Centre for Future of Democracy, Cambridge, UK

USA: 62%
Russia: 56%
China: 55%

What’s more that Russia & China are more popular than the U.S. in developing nations, where 85% of the world’s population lives.

In Belt and Road (BRI) nations, China is extremely popular.

I have to remind myself sometimes that suffering =/= knowledge of reality. I recently spent a lot of time around a Columbian who is a major fan of Coca Cola and that irony alone (forget all the rest of the terrible pro-American views they had) reminded me that even people directly destroyed by America who are nominally outside of their cultural bubble still have dogshit takes on politics both regarding their own countries and the world.

Still, it is disappointing that these numbers are the way they are, especially in the developing world. The disparity seems that it should be so much greater.

Perhaps these numbers could be even worse, perhaps this should be a testament to how even with an unprecedented amount of resources spent by America propagandizing how brilliant they are globally, that reality still shines through their muck.
