I always find it funny how libs always seem to ignore the obviously fashy stuff Ukraine does, no matter the evidence, and how Ukraine violated the Minsk agreement repeatedly.

I particularly love how western media has been openly talking about nazi problem in Ukraine and dangers of NATO encroachment for decades. Now all of a sudden all of that’s been memory holed.

No, because (you see), Nazism was a problem with the Kiev government. Now we have the new wholesome Kyiv government, and they are wholesome big chungus liberal democrats :)

Watching the media do a whiplash-inducing 180 during the lead-up to the war was one of those moments where you’re like “wow they’re really just manufacturing this shit right in front of our eyes, huh?” You can see pre-2022 there was a ton of news coverage about how Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries and was infested with nazis and then suddenly we’re spammed with articles about how wholesome Ukraine is being bullied by Russia for no particular reason (and NATO must save them, naturally). Any criticism of Ukraine or the west’s involvement is immediately shut down with “that’s Russian propaganda!”

Side note: I watched my neighbors put up Ukrainian flags on their houses all around the same time earlier this year, and as of about a month ago all the flags are gone lol. I guess the war isn’t entertaining for Americans anymore.

Yeah, I recall Chomsky of all people lamenting how even USSR back in the 70s allowed more access to information from the west than the west does now from Russia.

And completely agree that nobody in US gives a shit about the war anymore. That’s one of the limits on the outrage style propaganda. People can only stay emotionally invested for so long, and once the initial rush wears off they move on to the next hot thing.
