Anecdotal evidence, but hear me out: I’ve talked to some Europeans around last year, about this specific topic (gasification and hot water). They (a German guy, a Swedish guy and a Brit) seem to think their system (with a gas boiler in the cellar) is superior to our central heating one. Because it avoids seasonal turning off for maintenance.
