In Italy from the 60s onwards we joke about “la scissione dell’atomo” (the scission of the atom) bcs basically we have hundreds of Communist socialists and an*rchist parties, organizations and groups but they’re so small, and the biggest take only about 2%
I remember seeing a chart on Italian communist orgs and their splits and it’s just wild, it’s what you’d expect if all the orgs in a country were hardcore trots or something lol.
Is it caused by extreme in-fighting over slight differences in opinion, or are there many parties with the same ideology who just haven’t merged for some reason?
Petty exagereting of small differences, basically they agree o 99.9% of the stuff, but because of that 0.01% they hate each other to death more than they hate capitalism
