Unnecessary “Actually” at the end of a title is such a red flag pet peeve of mine. They tend to be snarky lib hipsters.

But yeah, no. The world one will see with the lens of utopianism is one where everything good is doomed to die before it even has a chance to walk, nothing good has ever happened in history without getting brutally and overwhelmingly crushed, people are all just irredeemably evil and stupid. You never even heard about all the good communists across the world do because you call those people “authoritarians.”

Meanwhile, the world one will see with the lens of pragmatic, scientific socialism is one where evil is killing itself due to its own nature, good happens across the world everyday and has for most of human history, we are closer and closer everyday to breaking free, to ending poverty and hunger and war. People are a product of their environment and achieve amazing things under even the most dire of circumstances.

The correlation between all these fake ass leftists and heavy doomerism in the western left is not coincidental.

People don’t realize that human nature is actually very helpful towards each other.

Exactly, we don’t as humans always need to be consciously moral, I would say helping one’s neighbor is a lot more natural than both doomerism or utopianism.
