Hearts of Iron 4 mentioned a few times here, does anyone know how communists are represented in the Kaiserreich mod? It’s an alternate reality where the Germans won WW1. Britain starts as Syndicalist with the Royal Family exiled to Canada. I think France and part of Italy start red as well. And like stock Hearts of Iron, the player can turn most playable countries communist through scripted events.

Its written by absolute wehraboos, which is a damn shame. I think there are probably a bunch of anarcho-communists working on it too, hence the glorification of syndicalism.
I actually recommend Kaiserredux, which is a fork of Kaisserreich that aims to be more fun than “realistic”, and in my opinion its the superior mod. You even get to play as Stalin if you choose to play Georgia.

I wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen every path in Mittelafrika. But the sheer amount of Goering lore in there makes me uncomfortable nonetheless.

TNO, TWR theres a load of wehraboo fanfiction for Nazis by Nazis, its one of the things that really sucks about the Hoi4 community, the best we can do is refuse to engage with them.

On KS communism dont exist, instead its “syindicalism” (basically the workers organizing itself on dozens of trade unions on an decentralized state, an weird mix of anarchism an communism) it is definitvly very weird, but they dont spit anti communist propaganda everywhere. And stonping the Entente and Germany with an massive workers union is very satisfying.
Communism does exist in certain places, Finland for example has a communist path. Its just called “Totalism”. Which the mod tries to label as some sort of evil authoritarian ideology, Oswald Mosely and Mussolini are “Totalists” too.
