      I’ve noticed that real architects, urban planners, etc actually tend to have a lot of respect for Soviet infrastructure, whether they subscribe to the Western political narrative or not. The fake, internet ones, not so much.

        Haha my architectural student friend has this stance despite being pro-capitalist, it is interesting to talk since I’m studying Civil Eng.

        Well I never had the fortune of speaking with actual architects. Instead it’s just a buncha weirdos and bloggers (looking at you, Varlamov).

        Although I would argue that the internet dweller’s perspective is warped due to largely seeing post Soviet buildings - after years of decay and neglect
