Reminds me of that one Soviet joke/fable about Engels, Marx, and Lenin. Somebody asks all three of them whether it’s better to have a mistress or a wife. Marx, being a sentimental family man, very much in love with Jenny, replies: “A wife.” Engels is a bit of a playboy, so he says, “Mistress.” But Lenin, who’s famously ascetic, replies “Both.” Marx and Engels are a little surprised at this, and ask him to explain. Lenin says: “You tell the mistress you’re with the wife, and the wife you’re with the mistress, and while they both think you’re occupied, you go to the library and learn, learn, learn.”
In other words: Lenin being a boomer.
