So I didn’t like the current icon (with all due respect to @Beegee_23@lemmygrad.ml), and with their permission I remade it in my vision.

(imgur link: https://i.imgur.com/VwJISj5.png)

The tank is a Chinese Type 96A, the laurel and star are from the USSR (though I haven’t been able to find it outside of stock pngs and tshirt stores, the laurel has been used as a symbol by many communist parties). The colours are lifted straight from the USSR flag. The font unfortunately is not specifically communist because I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

Also I made sure it’s large enough by default to be used in different ways. Not high res enough to print it, but enough for web use. You can see all the aliasing issues when you use the hi-res version but unfortunately that’s what grabbing random pngs online does. I didn’t have the patience to clean those up lol. The font bothers me a bit personally, the laurel is so big that I didn’t really have much space left for the URL. (edit: yeah so that little text really bothers me, I may end up redoing it tomorrow or smth)

But in general I tried to clean it up from the previous version and tidy it up a bit.

If it’s alright with everyone I would like to submit this reworked logo as lemmygrad’s official icon.

    Hmm, you’re right. www.lemmygrad.ml doesn’t actually work.

I’m not a fan of typing out https://lemmygrad.ml because of the special characters, and lemmygrad.ml feels too empty, like it’s missing a component (it also needs to be easily understood that it’s a URL if people start sharing this logo).

@muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml is it possible to redirect www.lemmygrad.ml so that the url on the logo works? If not I’ll find a solution for the logo.

Yeah the DNS probably hasn’t propagated to you yet.

edit: oh wait no its not dns. I’d just refresh the page, my browser had the broken one cached too.

oh yep, probably cache. The one thing I never suspect lol.

            Thanks again!
