“We want America to win this AI race. No doubt about that,” Huang said in the Nvidia developers’ conference held in Washington last month. “We want the world to be built on American tech stack. Absolutely the case.”

So the message is: buy more of our chips, or the commies win!

Yes, and also it’s them crying that China is banning their chips and making their own. They know if China develops better chips, and starts selling them globally, that Nvidia is fucked.

Assuming there is going to be an ai race which there likely won’t be because the hype bubble is going to burst and peopel are eventually going to realize ai is not what people are making it out to be. China has far more power infrustructure where as the us simply does not have the power infrustructure .

We are going to see them starting to shut power off to entire communities to keep these data centers running. If people protest the cops will start killing them. What they will use this AI for, when no one that would use it will have power, idk. Maybe it’ll reach a balance. We just have to kill enough people off to power the AI to serve up misinformation and shitty AI videos to those that remain.

“So anyways, if you want any chance of stopping that please deposit at least 1 if not several trillion dollars in that bin over there marked Nvidia”

The “race” part makes me think of the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. And in that analogy, China (and more broadly, AES states) are the tortoise and the US (and more broadly, capitalist states) are the hare. AES states plan carefully, pace themselves, work their way through together. Capitalist states “move fast and break things” and then burn out systems and people.
