I’m very excited to announce we have started a ProleWiki Telegram broadcast channel which posts news from AES, Global South and the decline of the empire 4 times a day on the dot!
This couldn’t have happened without @yogthos@lemmygrad.ml’s efforts into making a custom bot for our needs. I could explain the logic behind it, but basically you get handpicked news from PressTV, CGTN, Granma, and more (and counting) trustworthy sources 4 times a day without fail. + you get a link to their story so you know we didn’t just pull it out of thin air.
Feel free to join if that seems like a cool thing to you!
The concept sounds really cool! Is it possible to also have this as an RSS feed? AFAIK Telegram requires a phone number to make an account.
Probably yes! Telegram posts all have a URL on these broadcast channels, and it seems there’s some online services but they probably want to sell you the service. As for the bot doing it maybe yogthos has an idea?
Hey, is there any news on whether an RSS version of this is available? :)
Hey, unfortunately not as I’ve been super busy in that time 😮💨
Maybe if you ask deepseek (with search on) or perplexity it might find a workaround! On my end I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get to it.
No worries. Could you post the list of sources then? I could try to figure out a way to combine them. Or at least just have them individually for people to subscribe to.
With so many websites abandoning RSS at this time it’s a majority of pressTV and telesur and not much else being posted tbh. some of the China section from techinasia. I have a couple other websites such as granma, periodico26 and news.antiwar.com for their coverage on possible war with venezuela but we select specific regex filters from these three
Seconding, I’d love a curated RSS.

I love this. Feels like a similar train of thinking to my own project. Telegram is a great medium! Subscribed!
Anyone else getting an SSL error on presstv.ir?
Works for me and they seem to be using let’s encrypt so it should work, check your browser settings… I had a lot of problems with Firefox’s “HTTPS everywhere” setting.
If you have quality rss feeds to share I’m interested!
I bet that’s it. I’m on mobile I’ll check soon.
Hmm this is what curl reports from my desktop:
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired More details here: https://curl.se/docs/sslcerts.html curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above. It seems like their SSL cert has expired.
It is strange though, because the cert for *.presstv.ir says it should be valid until sometime in December.
That’s weird, but I’ve also been having trouble reaching some of their pages. Maybe DNS propagation? Either way it seems they’ll have to fix it from their end.
