I haven’t done a lot of research into this one because whenever I try to look into it all the sources are either complete wackos I wouldn’t trust to tell me much of anything, or people clearly just repeating the state narrative. I used to blankly dismiss the idea in my Libshit days and I would like to examine it more in depth. So I would very much appreciate opinions and good sources to read up on it.

I’d be interested in reading something too that’s from a marxist perspective. The strongest indicator for me is that JFK sacked a lot of the CIA’s top brass after they almost started WW3 at the bay of pigs, like CIA director Allen Dulles, who then after being fired by JFK, served on the commission to investigate JFK’s assassination. Basically a “we investigated ourselves and found nothing amiss” situation.

JFK was an imperialist, but before his assassination he was making overtures of friendship to Castro, and had planned to withdraw from Vietnam, but his death ensured that war could continue.

Wow, well Parenti is my daddy so if he says so…lol Yeah that picture is interesting, lol, might seem like a smoking gun to someone who doesn’t know that someone posing with both of those publications is super wacky. Thank you, my investigation shall continue.

There are enough loose ends that I definitely think that whoever did it set up Lee Harvey Oswald as a fall guy and that there was more going on there than was let on.

There are a few different possibilities and we’ll probably never know exactly what happened. It’s probably a lot more boring than a lot of conspiracy theories. It was probably over something absurd, like some policy JFK was pursuing would send the price of bananas through the floor so Dole called their friends in the CIA.

I’ve looked into the facts around this issue, and in my view, there is absolutely no reason to believe the US government killed its own head of state. But facts don’t really matter when talking to people about this, so let me just quickly tell you some things you need to know.

The first thing you should know, is that the entirety of the geriatric “Left” in “America” believe in this conspiracy theory. In all my years of activism, I’ve never met a single old “Left” person that didn’t believe this. It is the glue that binds them together politically as a a generation, so to speak.

As such, these people have had a long, long time to ponder over the social implications of the idea that the US government actually killed their own head of state. What could this mean?

Imagine there is a government in some far away place, that actually does kill their own head of state, and then lies about it to the entire population. Why would they do this? And how could they get away with it?

The answer to the first question would have to be that the head of state is doing something so against the interests of the State itself, that not only would a faction of the State resort to murder to remove the person, but the vast majority of the State apparatus would also go along with the lie. So the theory that JFK was killed by the US government implies that basically, for whatever supposed reason, JFK turned himself into an enemy of the entire regime. This would also imply the how, because if the forces surrounding JFK remained substantially loyal, they would surely use the State to repress this group of traitors in a very public way.

And that’s where all this nonsense falls apart. Not only does this tend to lionize the imperialist war-monger JFK in the eyes of all the geriatric “Left” in “America,” (I’ve only met a handful of them willing to acknowledge he was an imperialist mass murderer at all), but it also paints a picture of the Washington regime that is simply unrealistic. You either have to believe there are factions within the US ruling circles willing to murder other factions, or you have to believe that JFK just turned the entirety of the US ruling class against him, so much so that even his own people in the government wanted him gone, and were willing to go along with a lie afterwards.

The first is just unbelievable, because why isn’t there more violence within the US ruling classes? If the “Left” and “Right” factions of the US ruling class are willing to resort to killing each other to get their way, why don’t we see this all the time? Why hasn’t “America” had more civil wars? The regime is actually fairly stable, and the differences between the pseudo-parties are barely worth mentioning.

The second also defies belief. Why do communists still control Cuba today, if the entirety of the US government was willing to go along with murdering their own head of state, for not acting as the gusano’s air force when the Bay of Pigs failed? Why didn’t any of his successors just invade Cuba, if the entirety of the US ruling class was so hell bent on it, that they would murder their own head of state for this cause? Did they just forget about it?

This whole myth is bound up with the geriatric “Left’s” total opportunism when it comes to the Democratic “Party.” It is how they have rationalized for years collaborating with the “Left” wing of “American” imperialism. They spread idiotic lies about JFK wanting to get out of the war, and so the US government just had to kill him. They imagine themselves as JFK, they project their own political identity onto him. That’s the real purpose of the lie.

A side effect of this lie, of course, is the belief that a single Marxist (and yes, despite the idiotic lies conspiracy nutters will tell you, Lee Harvey Oswald identified as a Marxist) couldn’t put a bullet into the brain of the head of “American” imperialism. The JFK conspiracy theorists outright reject the notion Oswald was a Marxist, because to even consider it immediately should tell you many things, but most importantly, that Marxist ideology is more than capable of leading people to violent action against the state, even completely independently of belonging to a group (in fact, joining a group in an imperialist country has the opposite effect, as these groups inevitably try to lead young people into the imperialist labor bureaucracy). You can bet Oswald didn’t have rose-colored glasses on when he evaluated JFK politically; he came to the same conclusion about the Democratic “Party” any self-respecting anti-capitalist should, and acted accordingly.

If only there were more Marxists like Lee Harvey Oswald!

I mean, I’m sure no one looked at the JFK assassination and thought “wow cool I should be a marxist too!” Even though I can’t exactly blame him for wanting to kill JFK, it didn’t seem to accomplish much. Of I went and shot Trump, I’m sure it would only embolden his rabbid fanbase anyway.

Just read about Oswald on his Wikipedia page. He was actually an amazingly dedicated and interesting person with good political views.

Yes the intelligence services in conjunction with Cuban fascists and the mafia did it

Basically the latter two were invested in a war with Cuba as Castro threw both out (mafia controlled a lot of the casinos)

I would watch the Parenti lecture on youtube and pick up a Peter Dale Scott book on it
