Might not be safe anyway. There’s plenty of works and characters in public domain (IIRC including Superman), but there’s usually some caveat that “the story cannot involve story lines that happened while the character was in private possession”. And possibly not named as original was named

The system must be changed from the inside, remember the midterm referendum! Fool you are, thinking that the rich will permit you to vote away their own wealth. To think the most power full men on earth will let you, a faceless white-collar worker, vote away their power?
