Libs hate Russia, but they need it to explain why people don’t toe their ideological line.

For the life of me I can’t remember seeing a Trump chump recommend collaboration with the Russian Federation. Some of them likely think that the Russian threat is overblown and that Imperial America should focus more on isolationism than worrying about Russians, but that’s about it.

Likewise, our preference for the Russian Federation over Imperial America and its Ukrainian client state isn’t deep.

That aside, it’s only natural for anticommunists to throw nuance out the window (at least when they aren’t the ones on the defensive) and resort to George Bush logic like ‘If you’re not with us, you’re against us.’ Nothing unexpected here.
