I’m a screenwriter, I’m sketching a body horror movie that treats body mutation as an analogy for right-wing radicalization. I’m trying to better understand how individuals become right-wing extremists in order to write my screenplay. Any good research?
Parenti and Professor Wolff have good materials about the economic origin for fascism. For stuff dealing with the process of radicalization of the individual, the term “pipeline” will turn up some good results that will point you in the right direction. Those two things will give you both the analyses of how fascism works on groups of people and how it works on the (modern day) individual.
