Some sound kind of wack in Russian, though. I.e. Dazdraperma - da zdravstvuyet pervoe maya - long live first of may. But the acronym itself sounds almost like a swear word.
Meanwhile in modern Russia, there’s now a fashion for “old timey” names, like Emelian or Fadey. And also for foreign sounding names like Milana
I don’t think it would be a great idea naming your kid “Vilen” if you live in an English speaking place, lol.
