Simple answer: Ask who owns the means of production in Israel. Not the working class.

A bit more complex answer: Israel prides itself on its “free market” reforms in the 70s-80s. It has signed free trade agreements with the EU, the US, the European Free Trade Association, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, Ukraine, Jordan, and Egypt. It is the country with the 2nd highest venture capital funds and the 2nd largest tech industry (behind only the US in both regards). It works with companies such as Intel, IBM Google, Facebook, Hewlett-Packard, Philips, Cisco Systems, Oracle Corporation, SAP, BMC Software, Microsoft, Motorola, Marks & Spencer, The Gap, Victoria’s Secret, Walmart, Sears, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan, etc. It has the 2nd highest amount of start-up companies and 3rd highest amount of NASDAQ companies.

On top of all this, it is clearly a settler colonial state whose existence relies on apartheid and thus violates the socialist belief in self-determination. It is an arm of imperialism, the highest stage of capitalism.

There are some great answers here. But the fundamental piece to remember is that you’re not ultimately responsible for someone’s inability to comprehend an evidence-based analysis.
