I support this. Also for anyone who has an older PC I highly recommend using VLC or MPV to watch YouTube videos. Native media players tend to use way less resources than anything in a browser.
yes, youtube-dl (or yt-dlp or some other fork) can easily stream videos, and there are browser plugins that open videos in mpv
