You can choose the demonym, the currency, a national animal, a motto, and some other stuff when you create the nation, among these are the decision to be socialist, which affect your stats. They also make you a few questions which I answered more or less how I thought it was beneficial to the nation and well, then you start receiving issues among which there are some that can trigger specific policies like mandatory military service, the ban of cars, the adoption of the metric system, legalization of marijuana, etc. Others simply improve certain aspects of your economy or other factors. Then there’s also a place where you can create a fictional article in the wiki style about your nation, and if your region has it you can also choose a country in a map. I am in The Communist Bloc, the people there seem more or less cool people, there are some anarchists though and I’ve seen some say that China’s post Mao is revisionist but at least they have more or less positive views of North Korea and the rest of the AES countries and anti imperialist forces.
