**Basically just a discussion thread about Xi Jinping’s relection that happened recently. **
Personally I’m super pumped, he’s been doing good with the goals he sets and him getting re-elected will piss westoids off. Thoughts? Comments? Images of Xi checkin the cooking? This is the thread.
Seconded, I don’t think the CPC is taking the decision lightly at all to re-elect him and it’s perfectly within the realm of democratic centralism to motion to remove the term limit from the CPC constitution at a congress, which I understand to be the CPC constitution and not the PRC constitution so there are no term limits described in the PRC constitution. So a gross mischaracterization by western media.
But what could be worrying is the election of (6 new members to) the standing committee, I personally dont see anything nefarious about this but perhaps it would look better if there were space between the two elections so theyre seen as independant of each other but I don’t see a possibility that the outcome would differ, Xi’s theories were enshrined in the constitution and he’s the 1st leader to have that happen within their lifetime, to then elect someone other than Xi to implement (MLM-Deng Xioping-Xi Jinping Thought) and continue to lead China with strength and prosperity would be ludicrous
Two of the six standing committee members are from the last cohort.
